Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Daily our personal freedoms are being eroded bit by bit.  This presentation is really scary in that the technology is already here.  Our right to privacy will eventually be gone.

This is funny, but the scary part about it is that it’s probably not too far away from being reality.

Amazing Wedding Dance

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

Weddings in my opinion is a celebration.  A celebration of two people coming together in a convent of love.  It is a joyful event.  I discovered this uplifting video and wanted to share it with you.  Some may find it inappropriate.  I personally don’t.  I like it. Here’s why.  I see this as a picture of what it could be like when the believer enters into the Kingdom of God.  Lots of celebration!  Perhaps even some dancing!

One only needs to look at David and see that dance is a way to celebrate.

Then David danced before the LORD with all his might…
2 Samuel 6:14

David’s wife did not approve of David act, God did judge her because she did not understand David’s demonstration of praise toward God.

Christians are the bride and the bridegroom is waiting.  There is a wedding feast and there will be joy, happiness and celebration.

He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled.
John 3:29

Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”
Revelation 19:7

Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”
Revelation 19:9

Take a moment to view this video.  And while watching it, image that it is you entering heaven.  Will you celebrate?  Will it be difficult to constrain your joy?  Will you be excited?  Will you want to dance and sing?  I would love to hear your comments.

Sherwood Productions, the producers of Facing the Giants released a touching film “Fireproof.”  It has all the qualities to be a big hit; action, comedy, great story line, but it is also much more. The producers have created a complete experience through the movie, the website, & through volunteers around the world. Brothers Alex and Stephen Kendrick created Sherwood Productions.

Fireproof is about a firefighter who lets the stress of his job come between him and his wife. Just when he thinks that their marriage is destined for divorce, his dad offers him a dare. The Love Dare: a book that teaches about unconditional love. Stephen Kendrick, producer at Sherwood Productions, said, “The word fireproof doesn’t mean that something resists fire, it means that when the fire comes it can withstand the heat. All marriages go through fire. Scripture talks about, being tested by fire; our works in heaven will be tested by fire. Jesus said when we’re built on the rock of obedience to God’s word; we can withstand all the heat of this life when it hits us.” The multiple twists will keep your attention throughout the movie.

When the marriage suffers, so do the relationships involved. By building strong foundations, we can empower the children in the marriage. Today there are many hurting and lost children because of unloving homes, divorce, & bitterness. In 2006, the U.S. Bureau of the Census reported that more than 1 million children are affected by divorce each year. Children like to imitate their parents, so if they see their parents in unhappy relationships the kids are likely to repeat the process. Let us stop the vicious cycle of unhealthy relationships. The value of a happy marriage is priceless.

Fireproof is more than just a movie, it is an opportunity to help strengthen & save marriages. It gives hope & healing to couples & their families. By saving marriages, we are also saving kids. Stand up for the marriages in your community. Help spread the word about this movie, the website, & become a volunteer to help relationships in your community. The Fireproof experience will change the future for so many.

Amazing Video – Stand By Me

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

From the award-winning documentary, “Playing For Change: Peace Through Music,” comes the first of many “songs around the world” being released independently. This cover of Stand By Me was recorded by completely unknown artists in a street virtual studio all around the world!

It started with a base track—vocals and guitar—recorded on the streets of Santa Monica, California, by a street musician named Roger Ridley. The base track was then taken to New Orleans, Louisiana, where Grandpa Elliott—a blind singer from the French Quarter—added vocals and harmonica while listening to Ridley’s base track on headphones. In the same city, Washboard Chaz’s added metal percussion.

From there, it just gets better and better: The producers took the resulting mix all through Europe, Africa, and South America, adding new tracks with multiple instruments and vocals, which were assembled into this final final version — all done with a simple laptop and some microphones. Amazing!
